For over 15 years, Marguerite Le Maire has been designing bespoke rugs, in addition to collaborating with architects, decorators and private clients on their diverse interior design projects.
A qualified textile designer and illustrator, she offers personalized designs, models, weaving and finishing. The choice of designs, patterns, materials and dyes is infinite, and Marguerite dedicates herself to making the rugs just right for the room they’ll inhabit, for both professional projects and private clients.
MLM, founded in 2017, works alongside several manufacturers, located mainly in France, Portugal and Nepal. Each manufacturer offers a unique expertise, that manifests itself through the high quality of their fibres, the artistry of their craftsmanship and their highly developed know-how, often rooted in ancestral traditions. Through her understanding of the particular strengths of each manufacturer, Marguerite has forged trusting relationships with them and knows which expertise will make the best fit with which project.
OUR MANUFACTURERS
Each manufacturer comes with its own particular know-how: Hand-knotted, flatweave, chain stitched, hand-tufted, to name a few. MLM Creation makes extensive use of undyed threads and natural materials, and any dyeing and colour can be made-to-measure. Our rugs are all handcrafted, from fabrication to finishing, trimming to carving.
This allows us offer a wide variety of manufacturing techniques, weaving, materials and colours. We can bring to life themes, symbols and designs that are personal to individual projects, while at the same time instinctively knowing how to overcome any constraints a project may bring, particularly for those out of the ordinary projects (such as for hotels, boutiques, offices, boats and planes).

Illustrating Marguerite Le Maire's varied styles and offering you inspiration during the design process are MLM’s Collections. Our Collections reveal unique mixes of differing fibres, such as wool, silk, linen, abaca, cactus, nettle, jute and sisal, that result in original patterns and surprising harmonies between colours and textures.
